ARCHAEOLOGICAL HERITAGE IN ISRAEL_06.jpg
A pilgrim observes the archaeological remains of the Capernaun Synagogue, a former fishing village located in ancient Galilee, in what would now be Israel, on the shores of the Sea of Galilee. It is known by Christians as "the city of Jesus"; named in the New Testament. It was one of the places chosen by Jesus of Nazareth to convey his message and perform some of his miracles.
